One Nordic credit management company, operating across Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, supports individuals in managing debts and financial obligations.

After three years of outsourced development, the organisation faced significant delivery bottlenecks: no new product features had been released in over 12 months, and the codebase had become increasingly unstable and difficult to maintain.

To address these challenges, a compact team of three consultants from Stockholm Code Group was brought in to take ownership of the technical delivery. Key parts of the codebase were restructured using C#, .NET, and Angular, and an event-driven platform and internal APIs were implemented to decouple legacy systems and enable integration and better scalability.

Alongside the technical foundation, the team redesigned the IT organisation and delivery process by integrating product teams into agile ceremonies and restoring a continuous flow of feature delivery. Within a short time, stalled releases were unblocked, collaboration improved, and internal control over the technical delivery was re-established.

Thanks to the new architecture and process design, the company regained control of its systems, significantly increased delivery velocity, and established a scalable foundation for future growth - all achieved by a leaner team following years of stagnation.
